The Anxiety Group for Teens is here to equip your teen with the necessary skills to identify triggers, calm their automatic physical response, and reframe their thinking. We will encourage your teen to put the lessons into action. They will complete two lessons weekly and attend an hour-and-a-half-group session for seven weeks with peers in their age group led by an experienced master-level counselor.
This group involves discussion, exercises, and home practice lessons. It is hard to watch our kids struggle with fears of going into the store, to a public bathroom, to school or socializing with peers. Anxiety can make them feel alone and messed up, and think everyone else is stronger and more confident. It can attack their self-worth. It is not true that they are messed up. They need support and skills to help them rewire their brains by reframing their thinking to overcome their fears. Your teen is struggling right now with anxiety. It doesn’t have to be a life sentence.
Of course, your teen went through a pandemic that fostered isolation and decreased their exposure to peers during a critical development stage. Teens naturally become more self-conscious in their early teen years as they undergo body changes. Unfortunately, with the influence of social media and the pandemic impact, our teens are struggling through this stage of development. You may feel helpless in helping them. Let us help you! Help them! Healing Quest is here to help! We have over 15 years of experience assisting teens in reframing their thinking patterns and managing their fears. There is no reason for your child to continue struggling with anxiety and feel alone. They are not alone. HELP IS HERE if they are willing to do the work.
